He sees something in her she doesn’t even see in herself. Something that makes him want to be with her more than anyone else he’s ever met. Her hidden attributes, which were unwittingly exposed to him, changed him forever. He hardly knew she existed before. Now, he couldn’t imagine a life without her.

DeleteI like the way it starts out from his perspective, that she has revealed herself unwittingly and therefore become precious to him, and then shifts to her at the end, wondering what that thing might be in her 'why me?'
ReplyDeleteSometimes the things that stand out to people the most, the little things that they love about us, are the things we don't even know we have. We are our worst critics and can spot the slightest flaws in ourselves. As a result we tend to overlook our good qualities.

ReplyDeleteI'll join the welcome committee, but I've not played in so long, I'm a bit of a ringer. But I want to give credit to Velvet Verbosity. She is the gal who ngot me writing 2-1/2 years ago with her prompts. I've been goiing strong ever since.
