He chases her as she pants with exhaustion and terror.
He grabs her, rips at her flesh.
Pain searing through her body.
She cries out…“HELP!“
Nobody does.
She’s devoured by her savage stalker.

The challenge:
"Write a horror story in 33 words, without the words blood, scream, died, death, knife, gun, or kill. Good luck."
I like it. A full story in so few words. Nice work!

DeleteChilling?! Thank you. That is a very generous comment.
DeleteDevoured? Holy crap. WHAT was chasing her?
ReplyDeleteI left that up to you. I didn't want to restrict the mental image you created as you read it.
DeleteOh, horrible. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Those are great images to attach to this story. And what a great descriptive word, 'slavering'. Really paints the picture. I wish I thought of it.
DeleteAmazing what we can do with so few words. Stalker. Perfect for the topic.
ReplyDeleteIt is not an easy task to tell a story with such word restrictions, but that's why I love these challenges.
DeleteDevoured can be taken so many ways...none of them pleasant. Great story!
ReplyDeleteThank you. You are right, no matter how you look at it it produces a gruesome image.
DeleteBeing chased is always terrifying. Well done!
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed, especially when it ends with being caught. Thank you.
DeleteYou had me nervous at the title and terrified by the end... Excellent!
ReplyDeleteEw, devoured? Definitely horror.
